The Accra College of Medicine commenced as a business in December 2013, and was formally launched as a Medical school on the 15th of December 2015. The College has a for-symbol crest the encapsulates all the school stands for. The four symbols are the Hippocratic symbol, a book and two Adinkra symbols. Adinkra symbols are traditional Ghanaian symbols used to convey various aspects of human life. They also convey the truth about various characteristics and serve both aesthetic and practival purposes. The two symbols used by the Accra College of Medicine are Nsaa and Nyame Nti

Mekelle University is found at the town of Mekelle in Tigray region of Northern Ethiopia, at a distance of 783 Kilometers from the Ethiopian capital. The merger the two former colleges: Mekelle Business College and Mekelle University College established the University in May, 2000 by the Government of Ethiopia (Council of Ministers, Regulations No. 61/1999 of Article 3) as an autonomous higher education institution.

The University of Uyo was founded in 1991 by the Federal Government of Nigeria. At the time, there existed in Uyo the University of Cross River State which was established in 1981 by the then Cross River State Government. In 1987 Akwa Ibom State with headquarters at Uyo was created out of the Cross River State and from that time up to the time of Federal Government take-over in 1991, the University was jointly owned by Akwa Ibom and Cross River State Governments.

The Somali National University (SNU) was established in 1954 in the Trust Territory of Somalia. It obtained official university status in 1969. The main university grounds were situated about six kilometers from the city center. Here, during the institution’s first thirty years, the main campus was known as Jaamacada Gaheyr (“Gaheyr University”). In 1973, under the Supreme Revolutionary Council (SRC), programs and facilities were expanded. The SNU developed over the next twenty years into an institution of higher learning, with 13 departments, 700 staff and over 15,000 students.
