The Kazakh-Russian Medical University is one of the largest and dynamically developing medical universities in the country with more than 30 years of history. It combines the best traditions of medicine with innovations and modern technologies, creating a unique educational environment for future specialists.
The university was opened in 1992 on the wave of major political and economic transformations in the country. It was at that time that Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, member of the International Association of Surgeons, People's Hero of Kazakhstan - Mukhtar Alievich Aliyev, together with Professor Maskeev K.M. and Associate Professors Golubchenko V.S. and Panova O.A. founded one of the first private universities in the CIS - then the Kazakhstan Medical Institute.
During this time, the university has earned fame as the leading medical university of the republic. Tens of thousands of specialists have been trained within its walls, successfully working today in practical healthcare.
Academician Aliyev M.A. laid the traditions of high-quality medical education - modern, corresponding to the highest standards, focusing on the practical training of future doctors. For this purpose, an impressive scientific and clinical base of the university was organized, which included more than a hundred leading clinics in the country.
