Kutaisi University Institute of Medicine
Kutaisi University is the first private higher educational institution in the west part of Georgia, which was founded in 1991.
Kutaisi University offers students high quality education with international standards, a variety of exchange programs and practical-oriented teaching courses.
Kutaisi University implements all three-step programs: Bachelor, Master and Doctoral programs. The following faculties are functioning at University: Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Social Sciences, Business and Law. Within the faculties there are both Georgian and English-taught educational programs.
Kutaisi University has economic and medical research institute and the international peer-reviewed magazine “Economic Profile” .
Kutaisi University collaborating with 26 universities in 15 countries based on the Memorandum of Understanding. This fact even allows us to accept foreign students and lecturers to have double degree programs. Also, to have exchange programs for students, academic and for administrative staff. In accordance with this, students are given the opportunity to participate in exchange programs. They travel intensively abroad and at the same time, foreigners are studying at Kutaisi State University.
Besides, Kutaisi University focuses on education with a high quality, it also supports students for employment and interns through the Student and Alumni Service Center.
Kutaisi University is an individual associate member of EUA (European University Association). It is the fifth private university in Georgia which has joined the EUA, which is a unique opportunity to develop and elaborate European educational policy.
Vision
By the year 2027, University of Kutaisi will be the academic institution of the regional and national importance, which will ensure the following: Higher educational programs that would be in compliance with the economic specifics of the region and the labor market, as well as in tact with the academic necessities of the country and the society providing the high degree of internationalization on all three levels of the higher education; Possibility of implementation of research projects of the regional, national and international importance, generating and disseminating the new knowledge
Mission
l Preparation of the workforce with the conformable competence and education that would comply with the international, national and regional labour market requirements, who would contribute to development of ethical and socially responsible society as well as of the corresponding sphere and bring their own merits to the economic prosperity of our country. l Strengthening of the academic society on the local level. Contribution to generating the new knowledge and its sharing, taking into consideration the resources of the university and the specifics of the region.
