History
Mongolian University of Life Sciences
хөдөө аж ахуйн их сургууль
Until the 1940s, about 90% of Mongolia’s economy was made up of agriculture alone. Currently, the productivity of the mining, industrialization, and service sectors is increasing, but the development of the agricultural sector and the position of this sector are still of great importance in Mongolia’s past-present-future chain.
Also, the developed countries of the world, including China, Japan, and Korea, are interested in Mongolia’s agricultural and food industry resources, and their interest in cooperation by investing and introducing technology is increasing. Because the issue of human food resources and equal access has always been a guarantee of the security and independence of every country, and even now its importance is growing more and more, and countries are discussing it at the level of national security. At a time when the developed countries of the world are increasingly interested in investing in Mongolia’s abundant food resources, opportunities, and wealth, we also need to develop together, introduce new techniques and technologies in a short period of time, and learn.
The “Food Supply and Security” and the “Billion Trees” national movement initiated by the President of Mongolia are increasing the value of the agricultural sector and the role and responsibility of the Agricultural University.
Therefore, we would like to wish our new entrants and students who have chosen the field of agriculture, which is the focus of development, good academic success. Please study hard and become a pioneer in the development of yourself and your country.
I would like to tell all the students of our Agricultural University to seize the opportunity in this field, which the developed countries of the world are interested in and invest in, to become employers and businessmen, not job seekers, and to study with all their abilities to become leaders of the development and construction of their country.
I ask all the educators of our Agricultural University to pass on knowledge and experience to the younger generation, as well as lead by example.
Generational graduates of the Agricultural University, cooperating individuals, organizations, major national manufacturers, public-private partners, foreign and domestic investors, domestic and international cooperation universities, and those studying at the Agricultural University in all corners of the world I wish you all the best.
The academic staff of this 66-year-old school are the guardians of Mongolia’s economy, food supply, and security. Therefore, we believe that we have great responsibilities and great opportunities and a bright future ahead of us.
