Ultrasonographer Susan Demko, RDMS/RVT shows off the new Phillips EPIQ 5 Ultrasound equipment installed at Boundary Community Hospital. This scheduled equipment replacement is a welcome addition to the Diagnostic Imaging Department for outpatient and emergency ultrasound requirements. The PureWave crystal technology is clinically proven to improve penetration in difficult-to-image patients, more efficiently, with excellent performance. Digital connection to the regional Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS) allows our images and reports to be shared and viewed with local physicians and other facilities. Ultrasounds are performed by appointment only on Tuesdays and Fridays in the Diagnostic Imaging Center.
